Festival of Trees is Dec. 1st

Decorate a Tree and Support the Library

December is just around the corner! The Friends of Drake Community Library invite you to participate in the annual Festival of Trees at the library.

Festival of Trees is a fun holiday event where families, businesses, and community groups decorate Christmas trees for display throughout the library. Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite(s) with dollar “ballots.” Not only does the balloting raise funds for the library, but the Festival itself represents a wonderful opportunity to bring together people, businesses and clubs while showcasing many of our community’s outstanding establishments through their creative tree decorating.

Please consider participating in this year’s Festival of Trees, which will be Friday, December 1 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the library. The Grinnell Middle School Jazz Band will play at 6:00 pm.

You can provide your own tree (or treelike structure like the Arts Center usually does!) or decorate one of the trees provided by the Friends. Please consider supporting the library by decorating a tree this year! You can download the registration form here. Just print it and return to the library, or email to drakefestivaloftrees@gmail.com. Thank you, as always, for everything you do to support DCL!
