August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse a.k.a. The Great American Eclipse
Join us on the library patio between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Grinnell will experience a partial eclipse at 93% totality. The eclipse begins at 11:44 am and ends at 2:35 pm, with the maximum view at 1:10 pm, lasting for approximately two and a half minutes.

Special viewing glasses, compliments of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR.Net) are available at DCL.  A limited number will be distributed prior to the event to those unable to come to the Library on August 21st.

Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets!
