Richard "Dick" Sears
Dick
has lived on the same farm in Chester Township, north of Grinnell, since
his birth on June 28, 1914. After two years of high school at Chester,
he graduated from Newburg. He was active in the Poweshiek County Farm
Bureau and the Ayrshire Breeder's Association. Auctioneering, in addition
to farming, has kept him busy. He and his wife, Lola, had three children.
