The Festival of Trees is organized by the Friends of Drake Community Library every December. This annual fundraiser is a fun holiday event where families, businesses, and community groups decorate Christmas trees for display throughout the library. Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite(s) with “dollar ballot” donations. Not only does the balloting raise funds for the library, but the Festival itself represents a wonderful opportunity to bring together people, businesses and clubs while showcasing many of our community’s outstanding establishments through their creative tree decorating.

Festival activities are on the first Friday of each December from 5:30-7:30 and generally include music by local school groups, Santa in the Story Room, and other fun with Friends. Most trees remain up throughout the month of December.
