June=New Library Options!

Curbside delivery returns JUNE 3rd!

With the health and well-being of staff and the public at the forefront of our thinking, the Library has established a phased plan for gradually resuming physical library services. In addition to curbside delivery, an Internet station will be made available by appointment starting June 3rd. Protocols for best practice social distancing will be in place!

Thank you for your patience over the last two months of life without library materials. We invite you to donate any newly published books you may have purchased during this library hiatus when you have finished reading them. You may drop donated books off using the book return at the east end of the library building. Your fellow readers will appreciate the additions to the collection!

Summer Activities for Children and Families

Drake Community Library and Grinnell College Museum of Art are teaming up to provide summer literacy and art activities for kids and families in the community for Summer 2020! Because of precautions surrounding Covid-19 we will not have our usual programs this summer. We will miss seeing you at Art in the Park and at Drake Community Library events, but will be putting together activities on-line and creating Activity Bags filled with books, art supplies, and activity suggestions. The bags will be available for curb-side pick up and virtual activities and challenges will be added to READsquared throughout the summer.

Beginning May 28th, you can sign up for the READsquared summer reading program at: http://drakelibrary.readsquared.com

You’ll find:
• Reading Challenges
• Art activities
• Badges, games and other fun stuff!
